Major Project - Shapeshifting Shoes
Many working women who have diverse events throughout their day carry multiple pairs of shoes with them. The aim is to design a comfortable, multipurpose and adaptable shoe that can be worn for various occasions. The purpose is to maximise convenience and reduce the need to carry extra pairs of shoes on the go.
Design Brief
Objectives:
To design an adaptable heel for a shoe to transition from a low to a high heel.
To develop a suitable detachable mechanism for the heel adaptation to ensure ease of use.
To provide flexibility and personalisation of the heel height and style.
To deliver a functioning prototype to represent the possible solution to the identified problem.
To apply manufacturing methods which would reduce waste and minimise cost.
